Cherry Bomb was great as always! We were in a slightly different location and it worked out wonderful for the public build, pictures will follow soon.
I wanted to get a post up quick so anyone who is coming to the site sees that we are actually here! For the most part club members are active in the forums. If you had talked to anyone at the show about joining VicLUG please write to lego@viclug.ca and we can go from there.

Public Meeting
We are having a meeting at The Moon under Water ( Moon Brewery & Pub, 350b Bay St) on Monday, the 21st of September 2015, at 7 PM.
All are welcome to attend, this is a public meeting and not a show, though there may be the odd bit of show and tell going on, along with frivolity and laughter.
The Train Show 2015
Hi All of you,
This is our next big show, at the Juan de Fuca Rec Centre, on the 24th of May. The show runs 10 am – 4 pm, Adults $7, Youth (11-16) $3, Family $14, Children under 8 free with an adult. There will be a fairly complicated track plan for this year, involving 6 bridges and 2 grade crossings. (and hopefully, no minifig carnage !)

Gottacon 2015
VicLUG will be at the 6th Gottacon on Feb. 27th to Mar. 1st at the downtown Victoria Convention Centre. We’ll be running VicWars, Lego D20 plus our kid build zone and a board games table.
VicWars will have a new rule set but still familiar for returning players. We’ll be running a few games a day, come by the booth for an updated schedule. Hope to see you there!

Train Show- Sept 7/2014
VICLUG will be attending the Victoria Model Railway show: Sunday, September 7th at Juan de Fuca Rec Centre. We will be displaying a Lego railway, with multiple levels of tracks and several large bridges. Trains will be controlled by DCC, along with a range of lit buildings.
Cherry Bomb – April 27th
VicLUG will be at the upcoming Cherry Bomb Ultimate Hobby & Toy Fair on April 27th. Along with our regular Lego shop and kid build zone we are planning our first ever Great Ball Contraption.
The Toy Fair is at Pearkes Arena behind Tillicum Mall.
Kids are free!
Adults are $5 from 9am – 3pm
Early Birds are $15 from 8am – 9am
Family Day 2014
This year is only the second Family Day holiday here in BC and it is also the second annual Sidney Family Day event. Check out all the fun LEGO-themed action at the Sidney Family Day website.
LEGO-Certified Professional Robin Sather will be joined by other VicLUG members to create two different big builds including a giant mosaic build on Monday that YOU can help put together!
