I was talking to some fellow luggers the other day about a prototype Lego line that didn't see the light of day which they hadn't heard of so it might be of interest to others as well!
Mark Stafford, LEGO set designer, presented this at the BrickJournal panel at Comic-Con. He's been going through the LEGO Group archives. It was an actual theme idea that was being explored and even special pieces were made back in the 1980s, but before it ever went into production TLG decided it was too controversial/violent.
