I was soooo excited that I completed the registration for Sean and I yesterday!

Seriously, great deal and it is on the Thanksgiving weekend this year so no having to leave early Sunday!

I think the same hotel as last year. It was close, had a great breakfast and an indoor pool. :)

Say it ain't so! :o

Is it work or the Thanksgiving weekend/family?

I am asking because while I like the use of the long weekend I wonder if there will be some (maybe many) who won't come because it is a family holiday.

Maybe we will just have to host our own little "fest"? John and Rod have both spoken about trying to do something with our neighbours across the water which could be a sort of mini-fest. We could maybe do a weekend with public displays and some workshops/talks?

VLC puts on a "Big meetup" (That's how Tim described it to me) each January/February. I was invited and almost went this year but it turned out that too much was going on. It isn't really a fest, it's more of a AFOL gathering for a day. A large meeting where anyone is welcome, if you will.

It would be neat to do something in conjunction with them, but it takes a lot of time, effort and often money to do. I'm all for it.
