Corellian Defender, anyone else stoked about this set?

I dig the newer Star Wars Lego a lot. I also play a bit of TOR,

This set looks just lovely! And will go well with my Fury I think.

Looks pretty good but I'm getting old and cranky, the expanded universe stuff doesn't really interest me. Ah, who am I kidding, even the stuff from episodes 1-3 does nothing for me.

I know they make lots of money with this license and I will go see the next movies but unless my kids beg for sets I'm not likely to buy any.

Now, a MkII Viper model, that would interest me...

I go for it cause I ddrreeaammmeedd of Star Wars Lego as a kid but it didn't exist.

I would also buy a Viper (though I'd like an newer Viper)... or a UCS Galactica.. damn. I'm still sad that Kre-O got the Star Trek license.

You and me both. I thought the MegaBloks Star Trek figure was bad, then I saw the Kre-O sets :puke:

I get pretty happy about all the new fig parts and odd colours that sometimes come out of the SW line, even if I have *no* idea who these expanded characters are.

I get 99% of my EU info from Lego sets. I won't buy them, but will happily bricklink the parts.

Fair enough!

I assure you though the Fury class Fighter was a damn pleasure to assemble.

This set looks nice enough, but I'm sitting squarely on the fence.
I have made a decision to cut back my LEGO purchasing a bit this year, and ExU stuff is not as a high priority as some others.

Incidentally I finally got around to building the Fury and also loved it.
I am seriously thinking about writing a glowing review of the Fury, because shortly after buying it I was kicking myself for being a weak SW nerd and shelling out for it (even at deep discount) after the abomination known as Rogue Shadow. However, it turned out to be a very nice model all 'round.

Thats funny I also got it at a great discount at the recent Toy Fair, and was also pondering a review. Your's looks better than what I would write though bwahaha.

I can totally dig cutting back on spending, I've bought 3 sets in the past 3 years. All but one at a discount (And this is essentially most of the Lego I own now (another recent discovery)).

I've missed SO MANY that I would have loved to own too like the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge.

Ah well, ebay in a few years :P
