Looks like a stunning model, though - I hope it looks as good in person! Due to it being all bley it would be relegated to a display for a very long time.

Personally, I always thought the ISD was the largest LEGO could reasonably go...this is far too much of a purchase, in my opinion. Think of all those old grey 1x2's you could get instead! :wink:

So this sells for $500 US - with current conversion that is $579. I think I should ask Lego what the extra hundred is for? Even with shipping it would be cheaper to buy in the US.
I wonder if there is a way to get Lego to more realistically price Canadian versions.

If I were to buy one, I'd definitely do it through a friend in the US. The story I've heard is that the market in the US is more fierce, so LEGO has to keep their prices down further. Even shopping regular priced in stores down there can be like shopping a 20% off sale here.
