Just saw this on the Eurobricks website. The man pictured on the box is also the boy pictured on the box: Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen grandson of the founder of LEGO. What a great way to celebrate LEGO history!

From all the discussion on eurobricks I am not sure there will be any left for North America ...

I would love to have a copy of this one to put away for 50 years.

IT would be very interesting to have achallenge to flesh out city hall and the cinema to full dimension ...

I am really enjoying the new sets that are coming out of Lego lately.

p.p.s. I think we may need to organize a trip to Seattle (Bellevue Square LEGO store) next spring/summer to pick up some of these great new sets cause I'm not gonna pay whatever LEGO Canada is likely gonna sell them for. $:\$

As excellent as the set is, I think the fact Kjeld is portrayed on it along with him playing on the original box art is the neatest bit in the set. Genius on LEGO's part.

It may be the first box I actually save. Or maybe just frame the front panel.

I actually talked to my wife about how many I want to buy (thinking one for me and each of the kids for when they are old enough.)

how on earth do you pronounce Kjeld? this looks like it's going to be a very interesting set on lots of levels

Just like it's spelled.

Hard "K" followed by "yelled" - as in, "I Kjeld when the piano landed on my foot."

Hmm. I could easily be wrong, but I thought the D was silent. As far as I can remember, it's like "Kale"
