I personally wouldn't use the word abusive but get where you are coming from. I'm torn with this one because stoked that such an iconic and afol loved car is actual a legit set, who knows what else is possible?
Price point considerations dictate what parts are going to make up this kind of set and it couldn't have been easy. It's not as good as the submitted model, or dozens of other DeLoreans. People voted on a specific car and that's not the one that was made. I totally get how that is going to rile people who voted. Will it matter...? The set will sell great, but will this further tarnish Cuusoo's credibility?
I'm probably going to pick up a copy of this set, though I wish I was as jacked as I should be for it.
Cuusoo is deceitful and abusive? Do tell. I'm curious what you're referring to.
As to the set itself, like most others I think it could be much better, all things considered, but Andrew's review is bang on the money. There are two factors - cost/price point, and also the ability (in the case of the front hood) to easily snap the "assembly" on for the old West version. I would like to have seen them throw in some whitewall tires, but cost-wise, it probably didn't work.
I think a huge improvement to Cuusoo would be when they are at the design stage to give fans 3 different models to choose from and explain the reasoning behind each. It would involve the fans and make the final model easier to swallow.
